“Reflecting on missed youth experiences after the pandemic”
Our cards are designed around a museum theme with the ideology behind it being the exploration of missed high school experiences. 
Most of us spent our entire lives being told of the joys that would come with high school, prom, graduation, parties, and more. For many recent high school grads, because of the pandemic, those experiences were missed.
A museum is a place where one goes to reflect upon the past, and the exhibits are often restricted to only observe. You cannot touch the exhibits, they are just out of reach often behind glass or roped off. Similar to the museum, formative high school experiences were just out of reach due to the pandemic. 
The key concept for me is “uncertainty”, I tried to reflect that in the final design. With the pandemic, practically all lives are disrupted, and the figurative pre-built “bridge of life” collapsed. The highlight of the "if" in the word "Life" is an attempt to reflect the "What if" scenarios this generation would come up with because of the covid induced time gap in the final years of high school and the "What if" memories they would make. 
This design is based on the metaphor “Education sheds light on dark places”, which I took “light” as the symbolic item as base. I played with the idea of "casting light" as a metaphor for the education process, with the graduation cap symbolizing the end of the education process. The figure in the picture can either be facing towards or away from the light source. I chose a flashlight to interpret “light” since it gives a sense of scale. The implied small scale could evoke the sense of emptiness, especially when interpreted as facing towards the void. This feeling of lost and loneliness links back to the theme of missing out and being shoved onward towards the next stage of life without proper guidance.
